Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
1. About this policy
AestheView runs aestheview.com, a website with before-and-after previews and guides for face and hair cosmetic treatments, and a preview tool that creates an AI-generated, simulated before-and-after image from a photo of your face. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit the site or use the preview tool, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
- Photos you upload. To create a preview, you upload a photo of your face (a front view and, if you choose, a side profile).
- Your preview choices. The treatment and amount you select, and the preview images we generate for you.
- Purchase information. If you buy HD images, side-profile or video previews, payment is handled by a third-party payment processor. We receive confirmation of the purchase and limited details such as your email address and the amount paid. We do not see or store your full card details.
- Messages you send us. If you contact us through the contact form or by email, we receive your name (if given), email address and the content of your message.
- Usage and device data. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools may record information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring pages and the date and time of visits.
3. Face photos and sensitive data
In some places, a photo of your face can be treated as biometric or otherwise sensitive personal data. We treat your photos with that level of care:
- We only process your photo when you upload it and agree to its use for your preview.
- We use your photo only to create the preview you asked for, and for no other purpose.
- We do not use your photo for facial recognition, to identify you, or to build a biometric template or faceprint.
- We never use your photos to train AI models unless you give us explicit permission to do so.
- We do not sell your photos or share them for advertising.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your photos (see section 7).
4. How we use your information
- To create and deliver your before-and-after preview;
- To process one-time purchases and deliver what you bought;
- To answer your questions and support requests;
- To understand how the site is used and improve our pages and tool;
- To keep the site secure, prevent abuse and fraud, and meet our legal obligations.
Where the law requires a legal basis (for example under the GDPR or UK GDPR), we rely on: your consent (for processing your face photo and for non-essential cookies); performance of a contract (to deliver a preview or purchase); our legitimate interests (to run, secure and improve the site); and legal obligations (such as keeping tax records).
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- AI image-processing providers that generate your preview on our behalf. They process your photo only to provide this service to us, under our instructions.
- A payment processor that handles one-time purchases.
- Hosting, storage, email and analytics providers that help us run the site.
- Authorities or others when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, the public or us.
- A buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
6. How we protect your information
Your photos are encrypted in transit and at rest. We limit access to the people and providers who need it to run the service. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
7. How long we keep your information
- Photos and previews are deleted automatically after 30 days. You can delete them sooner at any time.
- Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Support messages are kept for as long as needed to help you and then deleted.
- Usage data is kept in aggregated or limited form for as long as it is useful for running and improving the site.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies that the site needs to work. We also use analytics, Google Analytics and PostHog, to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages they visit and which steps of the preview tool they use. Analytics providers may set their own cookies and collect data such as pages visited, clicks and device information. Our analytics never include your photos: uploaded images are excluded from any session recording. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, some parts of the site may not work properly.
9. International transfers
Our service providers may process your information in countries other than the one you live in. Where we transfer personal information out of the EU, UK or other regions with transfer rules, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to object to or limit how we use it. You can always ask us to delete your photos. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.
EU and UK
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, erase or port your data, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing that already happened). You can also complain to your local data protection authority, or in the UK to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
United States (including California)
Residents of California and some other US states can ask to know, access, correct and delete their personal information. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We use face photos, which may be sensitive personal information, only to provide the preview you request.
Canada
You can ask to access and correct your personal information and withdraw your consent, subject to legal limits. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Australia
We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. You can ask to access or correct your information. If you are not happy with how we handle a complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
11. Age requirement
AestheView is only for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and photos of minors must not be uploaded. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
12. Links to other websites
Our pages may link to other websites, such as clinics or product pages. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so please read their privacy policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above, and if the changes are significant we will make that clear on the site.
14. Contact us
